Audiovox XMCK10 Satellite Radio Receiver

Pros Lots of features. Easy to use. Lots of options for the $$$
Cons "SURE-CONNECT" instead of Wireless FM transmitter is inconvienient to set up.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Good overall radio with lots of features. "The "SURE-CONNECT" is inconvieniet in my opinion.
Well....not a bad radio. I had the XM Raody2Pro until it gave up the ghost and I opted for this Audiovox unit. The one feature I really like the most is the WIDE band of frequencies for the FM tuner. My Roady only had 20 or so I think. The stock/sports tickers are nice are nice for keeping up with your various interests. But The one BIG change that ocurred in between the purchasing of my Roady2 and the Audiovox unit was the developement of the FM connection called "SURE-CONNECT". Gee...just what I wanted! Another wire to have to run out of my window on my semi-truck and have tio physically connect to the FM antenna outside my truck. Honestly....I hate this "NEW and IMPROVED" FM connection process. I called Audiovox and was told that simply, "Too many people in cars near you with the old FM transmitter systems complained about being able to hear what you were listening to. The "SURE-CONNECT" system solves the "public's" issue, but just makes it more of a nuisence to connect up and move from vehicle to vehicle. I also miss the ability to change the disply colors for ease on the eyes at night. It does have the backlight display timer option which is ok. Performance of the radio is very good overall. The features are pretty simple to use and work well. I guess I just object to the connectivity issues. I just purchased an older SKYFI2 so I can go back to an FM transmitter and will have the record/rewind feature as well. I'll install the Audiovox radio in my wifes car so it will be a one-time install/set-up. If you have an antenna on the inside of your car/truck, there is an adapter for the inside of the glass.
