Very fun, versatile video game

Pros Great 2-player game, fun in-game surprises, lots to do
Cons Graphics sometimes poor, camera angles sometimes awkward
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:

Lego Batman is a fun, light-hearted game with lots of tasks to accomplish and levels to beat. It has something for everyone, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Lego Batman for PS2 is pretty impressive. You play both "good guys" like Batman and Robin and "bad guys" like the Riddler, Joker, and Penguin. You get to fling batarangs at bad guys, drive around some funky vehicles, solve puzzles, play mini-games, and much more.

One of the best aspects of Lego Batman (and other recent Lego video games) is that it takes a while to finish. It took my fiance and I nearly 2 months to finish the game - playing it nearly every night of the week. It's not a particularly difficult game (it has difficulty settings you can adjust), but there is just so much to do in the game (like unlocking characters, buying suit upgrades, etc.) that it's quite a challenge to finish the whole thing.

Although the game is fun for a single player, Lego Batman is great for 2 players. It seems like very few video games today come with the option of playing with a friend. Lego Batman is set up perfectly for exactly that. In fact, the game requires a lot of teamwork if played in 2-player mode.

One of the drawbacks to Lego Batman on PS2 is the graphics. At some points camera angles and just general game scenery make it difficult to complete tasks. Often we found ourselves "dropping out" of game play so that the other player could see what they were doing.

I would definately recommend this game to anyone who wants to get a little bang for their buck. You'll play it for more than a week or two! It's great for those looking to play with a partner. Both young kids and adults will like the game.

I would not recommend Lego Batman for PS2 to anyone looking for killer graphics.
