Does it support 3GB of memory? I don't think so. Must buy certified memory.

I'm running this motherboard that has a lot of nice features for the money, nice documentation and had no incompatibility problems with my hardware, except for memory. Now the motherboard offers some peculiar behaviours when it comes to memory. The manufacturer claims it can support up to 3GB of memory, then instruct that it should only be used with memory certified and tested by them, but the largest stick they have tested is 512MB in capacity and they only certify that a max of two 512MB sticks will work. Trying memory not certified that I had before made the system fail on boot. After putting conservative memory settings in the BIOS it did boot but was very unstable. So if like me you want to use DDR400 sticks you currently have or want more than 1GB of memory then look elsewhere. If you are into overclocking and need CAS2 memory then look elsewhere as all memory certified to be used for this board are CAS3. If are going to buy new memory, aren't into overclocking and need 1GB of memory are less then this is a fine board.
