Astronomy Magazine is a fabulous publication for astronomers of all levels. It covers a variety of topics from backyard astronomy to cutting edge cosmology. Every month features a pull out sky chart. This is, in my opinion, the most useful feature offered. Besides showing the locations of stars and constellations, the positions of the planets and phases of the moon are shown. They even have a monthly chart showing the positions of Jupiter's Gallilean satellites. And for those with medium to large telescopes, deep sky objects are also featured monthly in the magazine. So, this publication is really a very useful observing tool whether you're using a telescope, binoculars, or just naked eye viewing.
Besides being useful for observing purposes, Astronomy also lists upcoming star parties for the month as well as astronomy tours and presentations. Their articles are very informative and diverse. Product reviews are also well done.
One of my favorite features is the photo section. Readers send in their astronomy pictures to be published in the magazine. Every month brings beauty and information.
