The Bottom Line:
I would not recommend purchase any ASKO product!
I purchased an ASKO T731 dryer and corresponding washer in April 2003. I purchased ASKO over the competition primarily because of the 3 year 'bumper to bumper' warranty touted by the salesperson.
The dryer began making a loud screeching sound after approximately six months. The noise only starts after the cycle has been running for approximately 30 minutes. I called the local authorized warranty repair service to have the machine repaired. Over the past month, the technician has made three service calls and the problem has not been resolved.
Out of frustration, I called another local warranty repair service listed on the ASKOUSA website to see if they might be able to repair the problem. They advised me that they could not service the machine without ASKO's permission within 30 days of the repair by the previous service company. They provided me with the customer service number to call and obtain authorization. I called the number and waited for TWO HOURS for the 'next representative'! I finally hung up after reading another user's review that they had attempted to contact customer service numerous times and NEVER spoke to anyone!
I have had to resort to sending a letter to AM Appliance Group, ASKO's parent company and going back to the original repair service. They are coming next week to take the machine to their shop and see if it can be repaired.
I have also had a problem with the washer's spin cycle not working though this issue was resolved on the first service call.
Due to my experience with ASKO customer service and the frequency that these appliances seem to require service, I would not advise anyone to purchase an ASKO product.
