The Bottom Line:
I recommend that the Asko board of directors and their families be forced to use their own miserable products, without substitutions or replacements, for ten years.
After reading the two 'favorable' reviews in this section, I feel compelled to throw my hat into the ring. The two favorable reviews read as if they were written by an Asko salesman or factory rep. THEY ARE NONSENSE!
Aside from having the most unfortunate sounding brand-name in North America, Asko has the worst reliability and service of nearly any consumer product I've ever owned -Dryer or otherwise.
As I write this, I am patiently waiting for my laundry to dry in front of my space heater. I just got off the phone with Asko's do-nothing customer service 800 line, after informing them for a THIRD time that no one returned my call for assistance. (FYI their service and North American parts are not 'Asko' but A.M. Appliance in Texas.)
I would love to write something good about the Asko dryer. That's ordinarily my character-- I try to emphasize the good in any situation. In this case I'm caught empty-handed.
If you feel like you spent too little money on your last appliance and would like to stay home from work entertaining a parade of appliance repair persons, this is the product for you!
If you don't believe me, try googling Asko and "junk" or Asko and "problems" and sort through thousands of results Just for kicks try Asko and "wonderful". and enjoy Asko's very own web page.
