Asko T731 Electric Dryer

After getting the originals replaced by Asko after a two years of use (we paid and additional 400.00 to "upgrade to the best models) we had our latest problem with our dryer... it nearly burned our house down. Between the washer and the dryer we have over 27 service calls. Constant overheat problems and limit switch replacements. Belts, drums, doors seals all have been replaced. The digital control would change settings and languages on its own so getting through the menus if you are not versed in Chinese is a challenge. We have the matching washer and it has not been much better. If anything is in your pockets (coins, hair pins, paper clips, etc.) they find there way to the pump and will at minimum clog the drain and typically will break the fins on the pump requiring replacement. The product brochures claim cleaner clothes and less energy used but over the three year period we have seen no appreciable gains for the claims and the clothes are no cleaner that any standard machine. Asko has the absolute worst customer service on the planet. The service reps will not even give last names if that is any indication of there confidence in how they are standing behind the product. Asko would not take our calls after the dryer caught fire. Approximately $10K damage to our home. Dryer is three years old. DO NOT BUY ASKO!
