Asko D3122XL 24 in. Built-in Dishwasher

Our Thermador dishwasher recently packed it in after only 6 years of service (another story), so we needed to find a replacement. After looking at reviews, talking to sales agents etc, we thought the ASKO looked to be a good choice. After having it installed, it soon became apparent that we really did not like this machine. We did take our dinner plates, bowls, etc. to the showroom, and they assured us that everything would fit and come clean, but we soon found out that this was not the case. If you have an earthen ware dinner set, stay away from ASKO. Slots are too close together. We had dirty dishes coming out of every load. ASKO puts a neat little knife holder on the top rack, but invariable something else has been put there, and you need to re-shuffle everything to fit the knives in. All the side fold down racks are too wide to hold anything smaller than a cup (we like to put long cooking utensils on the fold down side racks). As for washing, don't use the china cycle, its only about 20 minutes long and cleans nothing. Fortunately for us, the store took ours back, and we bought a Jenn-air, which while not quite as quiet (but still quiet, does an good job of cleaning and fits all the dishes in a more intuitive way.
