I'll buy one again in 15 years!
This unit replaced my Bosch (Kenmore Elite) which almost burnt my house down! After 4 years and original cost of $1,000.00 I feel ripped off. By the way do a google search of "Bosch and fire" you'd be surprised how many units go up in flames.
We bought our ASKO from a local retailer in New Jersey. We did not get screwed with the premium charge as others have. Being the owner of another Swedish product - SAAB I can say that the Swede's can engineer as well as the German's (I like the underdogs...).
It was a snap to install. Power, water and drain hose and you're in business!
I like that the backflow preventer is part of the hose unit. Bosch was internal and would get mucked up over time resulting in dirty dishes. This thing is quiet; you can barely hear it run.
It looks beautiful, especially with the other Stainless appliances in the kitchen. It fits perfectly in the kitchen (Stainless trim ring was included)
3 year warranty included (Bumper to Bumper) 5 years on Solid-State Controls, Timers, Motors, Pumps and Racks. Lifetime on stainless steel tank.
I sleep better at night knowing my dishwasher isn't going to burn my house down... I hope to have this for at least 15 years - hopefully 20!
