The Asics GT2140 is a decent shoe for the casual runner who doesn't need to pack on the miles. As an avid runner, I found it incredible stiff, with an inflexible center part of the sole. Also the shoe is a bit heavier than most Asics trainers I'm used to. It is more affordable than the top-of-the-line Asics gear, and for the casual runner that's a bargain. I would recommend it to those not ridiculously serious about performance; it gets the job done, but not well enough if you're a fanatic
