I bought this game as a gift for my husband. He had gotten bored with all his other countless games because, "They don't change, and I won." So I was trapped with an unhappy husband.

This game seemed fine, role playing, spell casting, fighting bad guys, and getting to do it online with family and friends who happened to have the game too. A good story line about magicians and quests, allegiances and fellowships and a chain of worlds is born on the internet!

So I went off and bought him the game...after reading and hearing all the wonderful reviews. And don't get me wrong the game itself is the best RPG out there. It's fun. It has plenty of support. Your created characters affect the worlds they run around in. There are countless support web sites. There are lots of happy people. It's a great game.

So why do I hate it? It's so much fun my husband had spent the last three weeks playing it for six to ten hours daily! I got so frustrated I bought a brown wig and put it on the computer labeled "New Wife". The game is full of all sorts of things and they are very fun and very addicting. More than 50% of the men in my family are currently online and in the "clans". They have spent countless hours creating web sites to support their playing, to share secrets on spells, and to meet for quests.

My girl friends hate me because they are addicted to! And mostly I hate it because I have to buy another computer so I can play too!

Be warned: This game is so fun, and constantly changing that it could lead to serious hours of playing around! [IMPISH GRIN]

And something else...on one of the auction places people are buying created characters. I saw one get bought for $5000.00! Now that's addicted!
