A pleasant afternoon smoke

Arturo Fuente is quite possibly the finest cigar company in the world. You already knew that, didn't you? And I'm not the only one to mention it on this site, am I? Well, then how about this: The Arturo Fuente Petit Robusto is one of the nicest smoking small cigars around. Didn't know that, did you?
Well, it is true. At only 5" and a ring size of 38 this diminutive little gem provides a very mild smoke but still manages to provide a soupcon of spice. That, combined with the smooth draw that is, for me, a Fuente trade mark, make this petit corona a favorite of mine for a mid-afternoon smoke. When the weather permits I'll drag a pile of work, or even a whole meeting's worth of people, out to the tiny smoking area provided by the landlord. Otherwise, that's why I have an air filter in my office.
The one over riding concern I have when choosing a cigar is flavor, first and foremost. I prefer a full-bodied smoke, but there are times when a milder offering is in order. Near a mealtime, close to bedtime, these are moments when a heavy smoke will simply do more harm than the enjoyment factor would alleviate. This Fuente is a good choice for those stolen smokes. The flavor is full enough to provide enjoyment, but in complete proportion to its size.
I recommend this cigar not only for its ability to fit into an established smoker's list of choices, but makes a fine choice for beginning smokers. It easily introduces the elements found in what are often considered better cigars. It also smokes quickly enough to not overwhelm the beginner.
Being on the mild side, I suggest this cigar be enjoyed with any traditional cocktail. It won't compromise the flavor of a martini or over power a blended scotch. It even goes well with margaritas or daiquiris. A simple house wine or NV port are also nice accompaniment.
