I very often partake of a good cigar when playing golf. I find that a good cigar while playing golf often helps to relax me, take my mind off of the mechanics of hitting a golf ball, and allows me to simply PLAY GOLF.
Normally, I favor a large (6' or greater x 50 ring gauge or greater) so as to last the entire 18 holes of golf. To my seeming dismay, the only Fuentes that were available were thse stumpy little Chateau Fuentes.
Immediately, I found that this cigar delivered s flavor that seemed to tast like a good pipe smells. It was not some fruity flavored cigar, just a mild sweetness. Two of the ladies in my group also commented on how good it smelled, which they deemed unusual for a cigar.
The chateau fuente lit easily, drew easily, and never required a relight. It did develop a bit of a bite towards the end, but I have not found many cigars that don't develop that bite.
The only real downside I had with this cigar was that it only lasted for 9 holes (about 2 hours), but then again, that is why I bought TWO!!!!
The chateau fuente is not my first choice, but I would NOT hesitate to recommend this cigar. It is easy to smoke, fairly mild, delivers a pleasing flavor, and an equally pleasing aroma.
Fairways and Greens,
