The Bottom Line:
I would not buy this kettle again. If I could buy Phillips kettle instead I would... but not this one.
I've bought this water kettle because I do use a lot of hot and boiling water during the day. I used to have Phillips water kettle - it was very good... This one is not.
Yes, the price is ok (bought it on Amazon for $27 with free shipping). Also it does boil water very fast.
Otherwise I have multiple compaints about this product.
First of all, it is very noisy. I mean VERY NOISY! When it boils water, especially toward end of cycle I cannot hear anything around me if I stand near by - not phone, not other people, not even TV.
Second, the kettle's surface is getting way too hot when it boiling water. And it stays hot for a very long period of time. No warning or anything that it might be so hot! I did burn my hand at one time just be touching it by accident. Not safe to be around toddlers or small children.
Third, the lid is not flipping backwards all the way. Only at 90 degree angle. Which is very uncomfortable when you are trying to fill this kettle with water.
Forth, the filter inside the kettle is very hard to clean - it is small, has small spaces. And if you have very hard water like mine is - good luck to you trying to clean all that build-up from the filter.
Fifth, due to small opening to the inside of kettle - it's very hard to reach inside and clean it inside as well.... Maybe if you have a child's hand... but not mine for sure.
Bottom line - I won't buy this product again. Not worth even $27.
