Army of Two- Fun Gameplay and Cool Guns

Pros Fun gameplay, multiplayer, and good graphics.
Cons Xbox Live play is bad and there are too many cut-scenes.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Whether you play with a friend or by yourself, you are going to have a good time because it is a fun game with a classic arcade-style campaign set-up.
Finally, we get to see a war game that does not pit you against the entire enemy force. Yes, many games have friendly forces but for the most part, those friendlies cannot hit the broadside of a barn. In Army of Two, we get a partner that is actually able to shoot an enemy and give you aid. Additionally, the format of each level is classic; having many small enemies to fight and one boss at the end to deal with. In this game the boss is not Bowser and he is not guarding the princess. Instead this boss is a high ranking terrorist guarding a bomb or some kind of intelligence. Also, we are not facing bumbling morons who have no ability to use their surroundings for protection. The enemies, as well as the main characters are extremely resourceful and respond to the people around them as actual humans would. Another aspect I find cool is the back-to-back mode where you and your partner lean on each other and fight the surrounding enemies in a slow-motion circle. The only thing I do not like about the game is how awkwardly placed the checkpoints are. If you run out of ammo, you cannot buy more or get any from your partner without going back a checkpoint. Because the checkpoints are spaced far apart, you could end up having to basically start from the beginning of the level. As a multiplayer game, it is very fun. You can use a friend to help you through the tough parts and that can make game play even more exciting. The Xbox Live play, however, is somewhat boring. Most people are either playing one of the Call of Duty games or just on to mess around. The objective games are pretty boring and some of the tasks are confusing. However, Xbox Live is only part of a very good game.
