This Game is a Blast. i played the other Armored Cores and found mild Amusement in the ablity to blow up the same Mech over and over again. but this on the other hand has me having fun with it all the time.
The Graphics are amazing the game play is fast the vibration from the control scared the beJesus outta me a couple of times. You take a junk mech and just rebuild it into this super machine...i found my self just trying to aboslute power mine as much as possible.
Armored Core 2 doesn't change all that much from the original ones...game control is still the same and most of the weapons are still there (gotta love the Nuke) it has lost some of the fun because it doesn't have the real SUPER WEAPONS that the other too had...of course i haven't found all of them yet.
You find the 25 missions challenge but not impossible one of the real annoying features of the old one...and you find the arena too be very difficult at times (ranked number 3 now and getting kicked around by good old number two) the replay value in this game really doesn't come into play on account that the game never really ends...you have more people coming into the arena as well as the ablity to create totally new MECHs on a whim.
The main problem i had with this game though was the slow MECHs compared to the computers lighting fast reactions (in other words you get shot in the back a lot while you wait for your over boost to power up so you can just get outta there.) but it is a small price too pay.
i haven't had a chance to check out the verses mode with another player so i can't really give a good or bad on it...should be interesting too try though judging by the arena battles that are in it now.
Overall i would recommend this game to any one who enjoys a good challenge with a good play.
