Armored Core 2 is in a word, GREAT! Some who suck at games of skill would have you believe otherwise. (see some of the above reviews) I am an old Raven back from the original series of games and have gone on to become Master of AC's. The thing about this game is, it takes a solid mind and knowledge of your AC to play effectively. If you suck at games that take skill, you're gonna suck at this one too. After all, combat is a skill.
All that aside, however, AC2 takes the original games, and one ups them with better graphics, new looks for your AC, and a plethora of BIG GUNS! Quite a few you've never seen before in fact. The customization aspect is excellent, as you pick each and every part of your AC, so you get to week it just right. Another plus to this game is the extension slots for the arms and internal parts. Some of which provide you with defense, others with offense. There is also a new class of leg parts to try out, so you now can have a 4th class of AC. The details of the game make it beautiful both to play and watch. If you're an Armored Core fan from the old PSX series, you'll feel like you've died and gone to AC heaven, once you play this one. All new arenas for vs. and arena modes. New cores. Novel items of destruction, and plenty of hidden parts. An absolute MUST HAVE for the AC fan.
