All that is gold does not glitter

Pros Graphics, replay factor
Cons Controls, sound
Recommended it? Yes
When the first Armored Core came out for the first Sony Playstation gamers were amazed at the graphics and the sounds. The kicker though was the abilty to make your own robots and pit them in the ring of death to your friends. Just that alone is great. Amroed Core 2 is the first real "squeal" to the series and not being a simple spin-off. But to my dissappointment it still needs a little fine tuning.
Being released with the promise of the playstation 2 it would have great graphics and sounds, but all that is gold does not glitter. Although the pre-render graphics soar over all other games (even many PCs) with exallent eye-candy. No if only the sounds were as nice. Even with the great FXs the music for each level is highly repetive which cause you to press the mute button as fast as the controls.
The controls though are perhaps the dragons baine to the sleeping dragon. Many people are used to he PC combo of: joysticks, or a keyboard and mouse. Even thouse hat are used to this as long as you can change the controlls to your liking it is all good right? Not with this. Unfortentlly the game comes with only three pre-set control modes. The worst is the diffulcilty of aiming your weapon and strafing at the same time. Along with the slap in the face you can't even use the analog to move which is hard enough.
If you are looking for a great shooter game with great replay factors and graphics, and can handle bad controls this is the game for you.
