I am very impressed with Archos Jukebox 6000. It's main competitors are Nomad Jukebox from Creative Labs and the Remote Solution Personal Jukebox PJB 100. All of these devices use a hard drive to store MP3 music for portable playback. Archos is amazing for the amount of music it holds: at least 100 hours worth of music. In fact, it is the best device in it's class for capacity, price, and quality.
The size of Archos is very compact and small. In fact, it is the smallest of all it's competitors. This sets it apart among the other competitors of portable electronic devices. The price also makes it hard to compete with. It costs
$300. PJB 100 cost s $600 and Nomad Jukebook costs $500. It is probably the best hard drive based MP3 player in it's class. However, there are extra features on the Nomad Jukebox.It weighs twelve ounces which could be alittle heavy for an MP3 player. Other players actually weigh less. For example,the Diamond Rio 80 weighs only three ounces .It is a flash memory based player.
For people who listen to digital music and like to carry it in one device, Archos Jukebox is excellent. Also it clips easily to the hip. It is easy to use and the sound quality is very impressive. It is easy to find music once it is recorded on the device. It has a multifunction button which makes it easy to navigate through folders and files. It has single play and repeat modes.
There is a 2 MB flash memory buffer which allows a user to shift around music. The blue bumpers on the corners of Jukebox also allows shifting around without having playback problems. The device comes with a carrying case.
There is nothing on the market to compare with the size, capacity and the price of Archos Jukebox. I like it.
