It's a Portable HD with mp3 player stuck on.

byneko24 Apr 27, 2001
Pros Able to upgrade HD to Fujitsu 20 gig HD, 2 sets of bateries
Cons No Remote, dislike headphones, OS on Harddrive! what if a virus kills it?
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  This is a USB Hard Drive first, MP3player second. remember, this is about the same price as the IOMega 2gig Jazdrive and 1 jaz disk! without the click of death!
Here's my 2 cents

Sound
-------------------------------------------------------
Volume level is limited.
to change volume level, you must either

press menu, then play, then you can use - or + or adjust the volume.

or

while holding down the on button, you - or + to adjust volume. (Need to use 2 hands)

Sound quality is good, if you do not use the headphones included with the player. used my own head phones, and it was much better!

MP3 files work great, however when i used the best quality MP3 (over 300kbs) it skips.

Operations
-----------------------------------------
You need to read the manual before trying to operate this thing.

Prgrammable list can be made by winamp
however if your out on the road, you can not create a playlist on the spot. I don't think you even can cue up the next song. You have to wait til it finishes before startng the next song. PLAY LIST IS VERY IMPORTANT!

Battery last long as an MP3 player, dies quickly while acting as a USB Harddrive.

Others
----------------------------------------------------------
2 sets a baterries! :)
However i would not recommend changing batteries often, look likes the case takes a beating when removing and replacing the battery cover.

WHAT... NO REMOTE? aawwwww.... that's just plain sad.

There is a line-in plug, but, it does not work, and the player doesn't record anyways.

OS is actuallt on the HD, imagine if you delete it by accident or a virus sneaks onto your jukebox, and kills the OS files! Will the MP3 players still work? Will the USB HD still work? scarey thought.

I've seen on the internet where they have step by step with pictures, on how to upgrade you jukebox from 6 gig to 20 gigs. (WOW!) i wish i've seen them first before buying mines from CompUSA. anyways this upgrade voids your warranty but 20 gigs wow! also if you buy this jukebox fomr them, and also the upgrade, they'll install the new HD for you, and they give you their own warranty!
