The Bottom Line:  I'm glad I bought it.
The Jukebox 6000 comes with a whopping 6GB of MP3 storage space, 2 sets of NiCad batteries, charger, belt pouch, headphones (behind the head type), and USB cable. For $350, it is the best price per MB of storage. It's easy to copy MP3 files to it. Once you install the Jukebox software and plug it in via the USB cable, it acts just like another hard drive on your Windows system. PLUS, you can make folders on the player so you can have different genres in each folder. A neat unexpected feature.

The JB 6000 also has: headphone jack and line out jack. The line out allowed me to patch it through my big stereo system at home and, VIOLA! I had MP3 ability. I'm sure you could patch it to one of those car cassette convertors to make it work in your car also.

The controls were a little unintuitive. To move the menu arrow up and down, the + and - keys were on the sides of the circular control. The play (also the select key) was on the top. You'd think pushing the circular control up would move the menu choice up. Another thing which was only minor, the volume would not go down very low. When I am working sometimes I like very soft music in the background. The volume control did not allow me to get the volume down low enough. (The volume control is not a hardware dial, you have to go through the menu on the LCD to change it.) Also, if you let the player sit for about a week, the batteries get totally drained. Perhaps this is a function of the NiCad batteries and not the fault of Archos. But other pluses include bass and treble adjustment.

I was listening to it in my car and had it on my lap. There was a lot of bumping going on, but the player didn't skip once. In summary, I'm glad I bought it.
