Lay the smackdown on your opponents in Smackdown vs. Raw!

Pros outstanding graphics, superstar voiceovers, online play, new parking lot brawl matches.
Cons short roster, finishers are still too weak, online mode...
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  This is probably the best wrestling game I have ever played. If your a wrestling fan, you have to play it.
I think this is now the 6th Smackdown to hit Sony's Playstation. Each one just keeps getting better, but as with all the past smackdown games, Smackdown vs. Raw has its flaws. Graphics is probably the area where the game most shines. Character models are done very well, in fact so well, it almost looks real. The crowd in the background recieved a new makeover and looks better than ever. I didn't think the graphics could get any better than Here Comes The Pain. Graphics wern't the only thing that revieved an upgrade, Jakks Pacific really did a good job in the sound department. No more will we have to listen to repetitive in game music. During matches and in the main menu, you get to listen to bands such as Powerman 5000, Zebrahead, Core, Breaking Point and more. This game now has superstar voiceovers which you can now listen to, instead of having to read those crappy textblocks. As great as it is to have voiceovers, the wrestlers voicework sound flatout terrible. It sounds like they just read their lines off a piece of paper and disn't put any work into the voice acting. Anyway, let's move on.

Create Mode is still there where you can create your wrestler with more options of clothing and accessories. There's an option where you can create your own belt and PPV event, which I thought was a nice touch to the game. But there was some things that I wasn't very happy about. One was the roster, which I found was very short. They left a lot of people out people out including Spike Dudley, Eugene, William Regal, Gene Snitsky and more.

Being able to play online is great, but there are two huge flaws. Only two people can join in and there are only two match types: single and the bra and panties match. What's up with that!? You won't be able to play any of the main event matches such as Elimination Chamber(my favorite) First Blood, TLC, and ladder matches. Oh well, maybe next year.

But I will say this though, Smackdown vs. Raw is a great game to play and should not be passed up by any wrestling fan.
