I bought this item for £229.99
Advantages
This is the 3rd iPod touch model that came out. I have had this iPod touch for around 2 years now and I have never even thought of the the idea of changing it to the updated version.
Price
The price was expensive when first released and this was because this version of the iPod was updated from the 2nd gen, a nicer look and all round quality improvement. You can buy this iPod second-hand for about £160 depending on where you look. I believe that the best place to search is eBay or Amazon.
Looks
The design is very similar to the 2nd generation mainly because it was such a hit before and they wanted to recreate and slightly improve the basis. It has been kept quite simple. The shape and size of it is very similar to before; big enough to use apps and watch videos and also a good size to fit into a pocket.
Gadgets And Perks
Being 64GB in size it holds around 14,000 songs depending on the size of the songs. You can also upload photos on it to see when you want. Video's can then be uploaded onto it if the file format is correct. The file format must be a .mp4 file. You can also play games on this iPod. These games can be free and they vary prices from 59p to a higher price range.
Sound
I have had this iPod for around 2 years now The sound quality is still as good as when I first bought it. I have come across no problems so far so this is good if it is going to be used a lot. Although loud music damages the ears; I like it loud and the sound quality is still excellent. The sound comes out very clear and smoothly.
Disadvantages

The only problem i have had with this iPod is that when I dropped it down the stairs around 6 months ago, the screen cracked and it sometimes sends the colours in the screen funny and out of place. Also it gets scratched very easily on the back of the iPod and this shows up very easily as it is silver.
This iPod is being outdated by the newer versions now such as the 4th gen. This is because on the new ones you can do so much more such as take photos, video calls and better screen quality.
