The Bottom Line:
I love my iPod Touch and would recommend it to anyone who wants a tiny computer they can slip into their pockets.
I received the Apple iPod touch as a birthday gift a year ago, and I haven't gone a day without using it since!I've had many iPods in my time like the Mini, Classic, and Nano, but the 3rd generation touch is my clear favorite. Obviously the foremost feature of an iPod touch is the Apps, which are unbelievably diverse and fun. I personally don't like to clutter my iPod with too many Apps, as they can sap a ton of space out of it if you're not careful, but if you're the type of person that likes to have dozens of games and features at your disposal, you can do this easily. When I got this, I didn't really think much of the wifi internet capability as a feature I'd be using too often, but it proved to be an extremely useful aspect of the touch. The Safari browser interface is simple to use, with 90% of websites working on my iPod touch. (Although flash player capability would be a nice feature). With all these extras, you almost forget it's mainly an MP3 player. Music quality is just as high as it is on any other Apple product, and the huge, glossy album art allows you to identify the artist with just a glance. I also love how it has the ability to categorize a music library in so many different ways, it seems like more than with any other iPod I've had before.Movies, tv shows, and music video watching on the touch is much more satisfying than with a Classic or video Nano simply because of the huge screen and the clarity. Not everything is wonderful about the touch, however. Unless you want to "jailbreak" it, there are about 10 apps that you can't delete, and most of them are things I don't even want. (Voice memo? No thanks). It also seems like this iPod wouldn't last for very long, not just because it's VERY breakable, but because I've only had mine for a year and already it's crashing and slowing down more than it should be.Even so, the iPod touch is truly an unbelievable multimedia MP3 player, and I can't be without it for more than a few days.
