The Bottom Line:
Lightweight, portable, easy to use, and affordable with more than enough music to satisfy.
I used to use an Ipod nano to workout, but the battery died on it after a year and instead of replace it, I tried to use my normal sized Ipod, but it got too annoying because it is so large. I was going to go away from Ipods completely, but they freakin' hooked me with the iTunes now so I had to go with an Ipod but smaller than what I was using. They came out with the 2GB model for the Shuffle, which was perfect because 1GB wasn't enough for me.
I won't go into severe detail here as the product specs are very basic and well known. This product syncs very easily, standard Ipod stuff, holds more than enough music, and the has great sound quality.
I can't speak to battery life just yet as I just got it. The not having a display is fine with me as I just use playlists for working out that I don't really peruse through anyway which actually exercising so it isn't an issue.
Stays very snug on the waist area of my shorts and the controls are very easy to feel and change without even looking at the device.
If you understand it's limitations and accept those, this is a great product. If you want more, get a Nano or Classic.
