The Bottom Line:
A music player that gets the job done. It works great for a fun, fast and convenient source of entertainment while exercising
I love to exercise! I get easily distracted, so I decided I needed some entertainment to keep me focused on my workout. As a college student, I did not have a big budget. I needed a quick, easy solution to my problem.
The Apple ipod Shuffle 2nd Generation was the choice of music player for me. It was an inexpensive, fast and easy solution. I ordered my shuffle from my local Wal-Mart online. There was a variety of colors: blue, pink, silver, green and orange. My favorite color is blue so I'm sure you could guess the choice of color I made. I paid about $60 total for my blue ipod shuffle.
The shuffle came with a set of headphones, case covers, a dock, mini speakers, and a couple of cords for charging and syncing music. For the price and all of the features included, it was a great price. The shuffle itself weighed almost nothing. It was such a tiny electronic device. I loved that it was so small because it didn't weigh me down while I was exercising. A clip was attached to the shuffle making it convenient to attach to my clothes. The clip was strong, preventing the device from slipping or falling off. It was perfect for listening to music on the go.
The dock that my shuffle came with hooked right up to the computer in the usb port. The dock made it convenient to charge my shuffle as well as sync music on to it. Another nice feature that my shuffle package came with was a wall charger that the dock could attach to. This made it nice for when I didn't have a computer close by to charge my shuffle
There was an on/off button. It also had a shuffle mode or if you clicked the button the other way, it would play the songs in order. On the front of the shuffle was a play/pause button, a volume button and skip forward and backward buttons. My shuffle did not have a lock button on it, but I rarely had problems with my device muting.
As for the song capacity, I could hold over 200 songs on it. I was very impressed by how much this little shuffle could hold. The sound on the shuffle was amazing. I have small ears so I bought some different headphones to fit my ears better. Other than that, I was very impressed by how great my shuffle had worked out for me.
I was happy with my purchase that I made last minute and with a small budget. Overall, the shuffle has fulfilled my needs for keeping me entertained while working out and staying in my budget.
