I bought this as my first mp3 player and it was alright to use while saving for a better one. I use this in my vehicle on a regular basis however the software glitches frequently. The charger is not very well made and is not durable at all. The ipod itself is very durable though. My step-daughter dropped it in a bowl of ice cream and it never had any problems playing. Played nicely for about a year then began getting error messages when trying to add music.
