No NO Nano
Pros
Great idea, design. Touchpad is fantastic. Light, slim and compact
Cons
unreliable, not very durable in all environments. Cost-to-value ratio, lets try 19.99....
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
Sports oriented people avoid this! It doesn't like exposure to moisture or who knows. Better to spend $30 on a cheap unit and toss once a year
About the worse experience I have had with a product. I paid about $250 with the extended warranty (get it). After two returns (one for a complete meltdown and the other because it would not shut down resulting in battery being drained in about a day), I finally got one that lasted....6 months! Towards the end I had to reload the software to correct errors in its operation. The unit would go into a 'lock' mode and doing a reset did nothing as the lock mode locked the touch pad out. Usually it required an hour or two downtime to unlock.
I and my friends suspect this is due to moisture as I use it for cycling. Which makes sense as most of the troubles started over the summer.
I used this unit just about every day for cycling and I cycle about 200 miles a week, spend about 16 hours a week cycling which is about how much I used the Ipod. So for me it got a lot of use, but I found it at $200 to be OVERLY expense and UNDERLY durable item.
However, after one very frustrating ride trying to get it to work, I actually tossed it! Yeah, lol and the funny thing is I felt free.
As for me this is and will be my last experience with Apple. No, No, Never nano
