The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this to anyone looking to carry their sound with them, you hardly know it's there and it can accommodate quite a few songs.
I received the 1GB Nano as a Christmas present, and began to load CD after CD onto it. Once you get use to the interface of iTunes, it's rather easy and effortless to load your songs. I currently have 437 songs, plus about 4 podcasts, loaded consuming 1.8GB.
I work in two offices, one is close but in a basement so I don't get any radio reception, and I need to commute on a train through a tunnel for the other so having my own selection of music with me at any time is excellent. I also like downloading podcasts that allow me to keep up to date on different topics on my own terms.
The battery life is ~6-7 hours, but I've found that it gets longer if it's not continually used. If I listen throughout the day constantly I get about 6 hours, but if it's short bursts of 60-90 minutes, I get over 10 hours of playtime.
The only accessory I have so far is the DLO Podfolio, which is a leather flip case with a belt clip. It helps to protect the delicate surface, allows easy access to the buttons, and let's you clip it to your pocket or waist. I would like to get better headphones as the included ear buds don't stay in me ears too well, but it seems that quality alternatives are available at a reasonable price.
