Great Purchase So Far!
Pros
Large Storage!, Sleek Design, Great Battery Life.
Cons
Occasional control wheel glitches, volume doesn't reduce all the way to nothing
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
I recommend this to anyone who wants to listen to a lot of music on the go.
Right before the New Year my 1GB iPod shuffle broke, leaving me devastated! This iPod Classic was my first choice as a replacement.
The device has a great amount of storage, good display, and nice sound quality. There are occasional glitches when the wheel becomes momentarily unresponsive, but overall the iPod functions really well!
I also noticed that soon after I bought it the shiny backside had a series of light scratches, those the front stayed pristine. This was expected with the type of surface, but it might be ideal for you to get a protecting case for it.
In addition, I always used to fall asleep listening to my iPod, and though the sleep timer on this classic is very handy the volume won't reduce as much as I might like. It can get quiet, but for falling asleep it may not be the best volume for everyone.
I've owned this iPod for a little over three months now and I feel the purchase was absolutely worth the money. The battery life is excellent, though it may take a little while to charge if completely drained. It (mine) also came preloaded with three games including a quiz game, a card game, and a game called "Vortex." I'll admit that the card game can be very addictive, and they're all a nice perk to buying the iPod.
