The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this to anyone. It takes care of any music lovers needs.
As Christmas of 2005 came near, the hopes of getting the ultimate gift continued to grow. I had kept my eye on one of the newest pieces of technology at the time, and I wasn't going to let it out of sight. What is this gift I had been longing for you ask? The new 60GB Apple iPod Video White. This Digital Media Player is definitely something that is worth all the hype and craze. When I first received this new toy, I was so giddy that I didn't even know what to do. The iPod has so many more features than the previous iPods, that it makes you think there will never be anything better.
The first Digital Media Player that i owned was the first generation iPod. I would go to school and all the students were jealous of me because I had one. Back then, people thought it was amazing how such a small thing could hold 5 GB of songs and information. In comparison to the iPods now, that wasn't even that much memory.
I have now used this iPod for the last two years and it has been so useful in my everyday activities and endeavors. I like to go to the gym a lot and having this iPod has been a nice thing to have. When you are out there pumping that iron, and blasting those songs that pump you up, you just kind of lose yourself in the exercise. The same goes for when I'm up on the mountain, shredding some powder on my snowboard. The list of places or activities that you can use your iPod for goes on forever.
I cannot even explain the joy and satisfaction that I have experienced from owning this device. With the new and improved 2.5 inch LCD screen, click wheel, extra memory, sleek new design, and thinner structure, this iPod blows all other Digital Media Players out of the water.
2.5 inch LCD screen
When I first got the iPod, people would ask me if it was even worth watching a movie on such a small screen. My answer was YES!!! It has crystal clear imaging and has the sharpness of a bigger screen. It is perfect for when you are on any kind of trip. You can watch movies, play music, go through photos or retrieve contact information on any car, bus or plane ride.
Click Wheel
It took me a while to get used to, because i was used to the wheel actually moving with my first iPod. When scrolling through songs, pictures, contacts and such, the click wheel is fast, but sometimes too fast. This problem is something that is easy to overcome after a few times using.
60 GB Hard Drive
I never thought that I would ever be able to fill up all 60 Gigs of memory, and I still haven't. It is so nice to have extra space for anything you want to put on your iPod. I have dozens of movies, thousands of songs and there is still room for more.
Design
The design and sizing of the video iPod is beyond all comprehension. It is barely larger in width and length than a credit card. Thinner structure and more sleek features definitely makes heads turn. The smooth silver back with the pearly, almost heavenly white front makes you feel like you are worth a million bucks!!
Durability
Not that I would recommend it, but if you happen to drop your iPod like I do, it's a pretty durable item. Granted I do have a cover on it, but before I got the cover I had dropped it a few times and it was fine. For something electronic like the iPod, I would have thought it would shatter on the first drop. Not the White Stallion though.
