Crazy Fun Little Gadget!!

Pros Slim size, high-quality screen. Great sound output.
Cons Squat-stature is a little awkward to hold.  Small click-wheel.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Lightweight, great sound, ultra-portable, excellent sound.
I bought this iPod for my mother last year for Christmas and we both love it!
I was a little worried about the size of the screen for viewing video, but it is crystal clear, excellent resolution, and does not strain your eyes.  My mom does not have the best eyesight, but she has no problem watching The Office on a plane trip.
The thing is so thin, one might worry it would break in your hands, but it is a solid build with aluminum and stainless steel that can hold its own in everyday use.
The size can work against it.  It can be a little awkward to hold continuously while watching a video, but I guess you can get used to it.
Sound quality is great.  No quality is lost here when comparing it to its big brother, the iPod Classic.
If games is your thing, you may want to invest in an iPod Classic for the larger screen.  (Personally, I don't feel that the iPod is the best hardware for games in the first place.) The smaller click wheel on the Nano can make playing games a little troublesome.  But is not a big deal if you are casually scrolling through your album art on cover flow.
All in all, if you can find this generation of the nano available, it would be a great little investment.
