A bit pricey, but a great player.
I got a mini through one of those early spam emails. I didn't think I would actually get one, but I was able to convince 5 friends that weren't signed up for eBay to join, giving me enough referral credits to get a Mini. I luv my mini!
I had been thinking about buying an iPod for a couple of years, but never went through with in because of the expense and the large size. Anyway, I only have about 500 songs on my computer, so the iPods that hold 10,000 or more would be wasted space for me.

Great for my purpose
I never had Apple anything and had previously used a cd player and portable radio. I got the mini Ipod to take most of my favorite music with me when I go overseas and my CDs stay in the US with my family. Additionally, I exercise a lot and wanted something light and shock-proof.
