The Bottom Line:
This phone is a one trick pony.. MultiTouch.. Other than that, it's a poor conglomerate of your iPod and cellphone. Keep your Blackberrys and your Windows Mobile devices.
I purchased my iPhone 1 month ago and wanted to give it some time before I wrote my thoughts to give a true review. To sum it up, it's missing a lot of key features that Blackberry and windows mobile have.
While lots of people are complaining about reception, I am not haveing those issues, but have found many others.
I would not buy if you intend to use for very much e-mail or in a corporate environment. This is a great phone for a collage kid or soccer mom.. Serious mobile users, I'd hold off for the following reasons:
1) I Have to reboot every day or device gets slow and you start clicking where you were trying to expand (multitouch) a view in a web browser.
2) Unable to search E-Mail
3) Unable to organize pics
4) I constantly hit mute with my cheek. The device DOES NOT realize the phone is put to your face.
5) Auto Brightness adjust is backwards. My Screen gets BRIGHTER in the dark and dimmer in the sun!
6) No CUT AND PASTE or MMS !
7) widescreen keyboard ONLY available in the web browser where we type web addresses, but in E-Mail where we type paragraphs, we cant use the Widescreen keyboard. Come on apple? Who let this slip by in development?
8) Using the GPS is worthless. It does not do any re-routing if you make a turn or even keep tabs on what leg of the directions you are on. Not a very useful GPS. It's really "Google Directions" overlayed on a moving dot, but in no way tied together.
