Apple iPhone 4 White (16 GB) Smartphone

  When the iphone originally came out, it had to have been one of the coolest most technologically advanced things on the market. I mean come on, who understood what a smart phone could really do?  This phone was famous because this was a phone that was all touchscreen with only one little button at the bottom used to power the phone on or off or to return the screen to its main page. There were no old-fashioned keyboards or big bulky sliding pieces, this was a sleek, technical looking phone and the first of it's kind.
            Created by Apple, the iPhone has become more and more popular, and even was the basis of ideas for all of these other smart phones that are available today. It brought the word "apps" to life by making an endless list of games ranging from 300 dollars to completely free and these games are available with just the touch of a button. Apple made the unimaginable, well imaginable. About every two years, Apple came out with a new and improved iPhone. With the new and improved iPhone that came out also came new features available to its user, point being that the phone improved. The most current iPhone is the iPhone 4GS but it isn't much different from the phone that I own which is the 4G.
            I have always had an iPhone, but I had decided that I had wanted to try something different so I purchased an Android HTC Inspire. At first I thought this phone was awesome and much more exciting than the iPhone until I stared to actually play with it. You had to have an account for everything including any apps that you wanted to buy. There also weren't many free apps. This phone was so hard to navigate, and not to mention that the phone itself was big and bulky. It barely fit into my pocket and there were not many cases for it to choose from. It was also very hard to change my settings. I wanted to simply put a picture as my background, and after trying to change my background to a picture for two weeks I then gave up.  Personally, I think that there aren't many phones that can be equally compared to the iPhone, especially now that the iPhone is getting more and more advanced. I can name so many different reasons why you should get this phone and would be happy to share them with you.
            The iPhone 4G may be a bit pricey compared to other phones, ranging from 599.99 without a contract to 199.99 with a contract, but I guarantee you that it is so worth it. A phone is something that you use everyday, and is by your side pretty much the whole day, so I personally think that it is so worth spending extra money on something that you get a ton of use out of. (Trust me, this phone is addicting) There are so many different things that this phone has to offer so I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to save up their money to purchase it.
            Besides being completely awesome, this phone also looks very nice. I think it is of an ideal size and it fits conveniently into my purse and pockets, and it is also the perfect size for my hands to hold. The shape of this phone makes it so convenient for anyone to have because it really is the ideal size. Through all of the different iPhone generations the design of the phone has differed slightly but overall it was about the same size.
            One thing that goes with the category of size is weight. This phone is super light compared to some phones. Like I mentioned before, my Android was so heavy, and I just remember being relieved when I got another iPhone because it was so easy and light to carry around. Sometimes I hardly even notice it's in my arms. I do have to say that the battery is probably the heaviest thing on the phone and that all of the other pieces are weightless it seems.
            Speaking of the battery, the battery life is pretty average in my book. I usually charge is every night while I sleep and then it stays charged as I play with it for the majority of the day. A good way to save battery is to turn your brightness down low and that will save you a lot of percentage of battery. If my battery does run low though, I just plug it into a charger and it charges super quick. If I plug it in for 10 minutes I have plenty enough battery for the phone to last at least another hour or until I can get home to my charger. I feel like the charging time makes up for the average battery life.
            Think the phone is amazing yet? The best part about this phone is all of the special features. The App Store is nothing short of amazing. There are hundreds and hundreds of different apps to choose from and there are a lot of free ones for people who are trying to save money. There literally is an App for EVERYTHING.  The Apple App store has so many different games to choose from.
 If you are big on game consoles, there are many games such as Sonic the Hedgehog, The Sims, Call of Duty and many more, so you can play these games on the go. There are also many useful apps for people who are dieting. I have this app on my phone that lets me keep track of my calories. All I have to do is type in a food that I ate and it tells me how many calories and I just add it to my journal entry that day. It also keeps track of how many calories a day I eat and it also takes into account exercise. There is also a Pandora app that lets me easily listen to any kind of music that I want. Also, for the guys there is an app that serves as a level to see if things are even. One of my other favorite apps is Flixster, which allows me to check movie times, and watch the trailers for each movie.  I could go on for days but to needless to say, the convenience of this phone is amazing.
If you are a person who is big on email, there is an icon on your homepage that you just press and you have your email account logged onto the icon and you can check your email in seconds. The phone also notifies you when you receive any new mail, which is very important to me as a student. Another important thing to me as a student is music. I listen to music almost everywhere I go, and it's so convenient to have a phone that can make this possible.
   One of the most popular things about this phone is that you can hook up your iTunes to your phone. You can plug your phone into your computer and have all of your pictures, contacts, and apps backed up onto your computer that way if you ever get a new phone you can have all of your stuff transferred back onto your phone.  Also, you can have all of your music from your iTunes library onto your phone and your phone can also serve as your iPod. With the iPhone 4, there came many upgrades and one is voice control. Now the iPhone has a command where you talk to your phone and say things such as "text mom" or "call dad" and your phone will pull up and call that person immediately without you having to look through your contacts or dial a number. I am loving how the Iphone has become hands free.
Another new feature that came with the iPhone 4 is facetime. The phone now has a camera on the back AND on the front of the phone and when someone calls you, you can use your phone to make a video call where you can see that person, and they can see you. Even with all of that cool stuff put aside the iPhone is new and improved and it is in its fastest form in the iPhone 4.
            Speaking of new and improved, the camera for the iPhone has come along way. Now with the iPhone 4, there is a flash. This comes in handy big time. The flash was something that all of the previous iPhones were lacking. There are cameras on the back and the front of the phone so it makes picture taking that much easier. Also this iPhone 4 came with a video camera where one can capture videos and save them to their phone.
            For anyone looking to update his or her iPhone even more, there is now an iPhone 4GS. This iPhone is a phone where you can talk to it and it will do just about anything. If you are looking to save money though, the iPhone 4G is basically the same thing without such an advanced voice control as the 4GS.
            If you don't have the money to invest in the new phone, Apple still comes out with new software almost every couple months and you just plug your phone into the computer and your phones software will be updated and will contain some new features and settings. Apple just came out with a new software update that has made the iPhone super advanced and I am loving my phone more than ever.
            If all of the above hasn't been convincing enough than I think you need to take a look at the phone that you own right now and compare it to what I have said about the iPhone 4. I don't think there is any comparison. Why wouldn't you want to have a phone that has everything you could ever need? I really don't know. Everything is going to have its ups and downs so with that yes there are a few things about the iPhone that could be better but hey that's why Apple is still coming out with new and bigger and better generations of iPhones. The 4 is amazing so I cannot wait to see what Apple will come out with next. I recommend this phone to anyone and everyone who is in need of a new phone that can do absolutely anything and everything.
