The Bottom Line:
I would recommend the Apple iPad. It's easy to use, has excellent battery life and crystal clear graphics.
We have owned an Apple iPad since June 2010. We own a 64gb wifi 3G iPad and 3 32gb Wifi iPads. We were a little hesitant to purchase a first generation product because we were afraid that there would be glitches that needed to be worked out. We purchased the iPad to watch movies, listen to music, play games and surf the web. We were extremely happy with the Apple iPad from day one. The iPad was easy to set up and use. The graphics and quality of the images displayed are excellent. The iPad is light and portable. We are extremely satisfied with the product and subsequently purchased 4 more iPads. We bought one for my mom, who is not very tech saavy at all. Also, our 3 year old son uses the iPad to watch youtube, play games and use learning applications. He was able to use the iPad at 2 years old. He has put our iPad through a rigorous durability test and we have had no issues with it. One of the negatives about the iPad is that the speakers are not that loud. In a relatively quiet environment, they are good enough. But if there is external noise, it is difficult to hear. Although, you could always use headphones in those instances. The other downside to the Apple iPad is that Apple doesn't support Flash player. Therefore, if you are trying to use a program that uses the Flash player, you won't be able to view the content from an iPad. The bad thing is that you might not know this until you get to that site or page. For example, I tried to order an item from a large online store and was able to start the process but not complete it because Flash player does not work on the iPad. On the positive side, there are a lot of applications for the iPad. Also, we subscribe to several magazines on the iPad as well as read eBooks on there. I like the large screen that the iPad has. We looked at other tablets before we purchased our last iPad, however, we ultimately decided to stick with the Apple iPad.
