The Bottom Line:
I was struggling with PCs for along time and everyone told me mac was the way to go and they were right.
When you first get your iMac you will be amazed. It is the simplest desktop Apple has created. It is faster than the past 5 dells my family has dealt with. However, I could of bought a few dells with the price I paid for my iMac. It takes about 30 seconds to turn on and 5 seconds to turn off, no exaggerations. The transition from a PC to a mac was difficult but you can catch on quickly. It will save you so much desk room you won't by a regular desktop ever again. The iMac does get very hot but nothing to worry about, it has an excellent vent system on top. The body of the iMac is a beautiflu sleek aluminum that doesn't scratch easily and is easy to clean. Netflix movies look great on its screen, now i watch movies constantly. If your into editing photos, the iMac is the thing for you. Its standard program iphoto has all the necessary tools that my other $130+ programs have and more. The speakers are almost the equivalent to my Bose companion speakers. It is also a very heavy computer though, i know because I move mine occassionally, that's what's great about it being all-in-one. All its ports are located in the back of the computer. Bottom left to be exact. This makes it difficult to get to. My iMac came with the wireless keyboard and the apple magic mouse. I don't need anything under the mouse for it to work and the keyboard is just as easy. You may think because they are wirless the batteries go quick, but i haven't had to replace batteries since i bought mine and i use it about 3 hours a day. The system preferences on your mac tells you the battery life of your mouse and keyboard.
