I chose the iMAC21.5 because its system has a broad range of capabilities from easily managing storage and memory to making a home video with your friends. The variety of things you can easily accomplish is simply incredible.
My choice was between this iMac and the SONY VAIO LV Series HD PC/TV which runs in the same price range starting at 1,198. This is also an all-in-one pc. This pc includes much of the same features such as built in Microphone, stereo speakers, and camera it also has wireless keyboard and mouse the style and look is very similar to the MAC the monitor is 25.9 inch by 18.4 inch with a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200.
This pc may look just as good as the MAC but the SONY does not measure up internally. The Mac is more efficient for the working man. The iMAC focuses on providing ease of access to programs, and maintenance is very easily kept with Mac OS X Snow Leopard: the world’s most advanced operating system. And every Mac comes with software that lets you do more with photos, movies, and music.
The SONY; with a built In TV, centers its attention on its graphic capabilities but although the graphics and definition on this pc are relatively high, the memory is low, and discrete video cards are still less powerful than models found on Macs and the installed ram size of the MAC is 4 times that of the SONY. yet it is more expensive because the HDMI input, allows you to use the computer monitor as a TV for gaming consoles and DVD/Blu-ray players.
The SONY VAIO is a good choice for a consumer looking for a great addition to an entertainment system but the iMAC 21.5 is a better choice for work related purposes which is important to me being that I will be doing most of my work on the computer and it costs less . I would recommend either of these pc’s but the iMAC 21.5 is definitely my dream computer.
