I bought my IMac just a little over one year ago. I have used Macs for nearly 25 years and have always been happy with my ownership. Since I've been in the publishing and education field for those 25 years, I have found that Macs provide the best performance for my needs. As I have also been a home educator and have used my computer for numerous uses, I'm pleased with the software that is Mac-based and with the excellent hardware that keeps my Mac running for many years of use.
Now that TV shows and videos are so readily accessible online, the large screen on my IMac is even wonderful for viewing all those missed episodes or re-runs that my husband and I want to see.
Using SKYPE to communicate with our out-of-state college student is great with this computer.
While Macs are more expensive than Windows computers, I find that the Macs have had less problems and are more durable than the laptops and desktop computers that we also own in our household.
