Combo drive, 1ghz ram, 60gb HD latest updates. since 11/03
First, I absolutely love my powerbook. The backlighting is incredible. I've always been a windows/dos user. the filing system under os x feels alot different than xp. i've been using this computer nonstop since november 2003. its why i got a D in calculus. i carry my book everyday in a Tom Bihn slipcase. i feel very comfortable when shes in that bag. about that bag specifically, it fits the powerbook perfectly.the slipcase compliments the slim profile of the powerbook very well.
now, panther is a little weird sometimes. stuff like networking not always working. sleep problems. no dead pixels or white spots. its a little slow sometimes, i would think with a gig of ram there would be very little delay doing stuff. i've had to restart once the hard way, dropping the battery. the composite video out just stopped working. the way internet connect/networking menus arent integrated very well bothers me. i've been trying to share files with my buddy who has a 12" 1ghz PB. we've spent a lot of time trying to them to network and let us share files thru the lan. this can't be that hard!

i love this computer. i dont regret the purchase (new from apple.com). i have a xp box sitting around waiting to be reloaded. i havent turned it on in 4 months. i primarily run word/excel/maple/virtual pc for maxplus II and other engineering/scientific software.
