Livin' Large: Life with a SWEET 17" Mac laptop
Let me first say that I am NOT the most tech-savvy woman on the block. But, having used computers for the last 22 years (since the IBM PC and original Apple Mac back in the mid 1980s, as my father was a Silicon Valley engineer before retirement), I'm picky when it comes to my computers. I may not... Read full review »
AWESOME!
I have had my mac book pro 17a for about a year and a half- it is my second mac, the first was a PowerBook G4. The only two complaints I have had have been case related- both have had he aluminum cases, which dent and warp. I have a speck case now (the clear/colorfully tinted plastic... Read full review »
The last laptop you'll ever need (for 3 or 4 years anyway)
As a write this, Apple has just upgraded their MacBook Pros with the latest intel processor Peryn (sp?). So, everything I say is true without regard to any speed, stability and temperature gains.
I bought my MacBook Pro back in October of 2007 for around $2,500 (student discount) at the...

A great laptop and a bridge between the Windows/Mac worlds
*** October 2009 Update ***
If you are looking to make the transition from Windows to Mac or simply want a top of the line notebook, read on. This computer was the bridge for us out of the Windows world and into the Mac realm, and is the best computer I've had. In the 2 years since we bought...

Cross over from Windows to Mac will be a LOT smoother with a MacBook Pro
I waited a VERY long time going back and forth on whether or not I was going to buy a Mac. I think my one main concern was if I was going to transition easily from Windows to Mac. I had used a Mac way back in the late nineties - and it was so foreign to me. I was so worried that I would get one,... Read full review »
Apple Macbook Pro-like driving the best sports car on the block!
I waited and waited to make the final decision to cross over...and SO glad I did. I considered myself a fairly advanced Windows user, so I was hard to impress. One day, while in an Office Depot store, I decided to ask the "geeks" their advice. I said, "If you could afford any computer on the... Read full review »
Yup Its a MacBook
We all face the dilemma in todays day in age of getting a computer. Maybe you already have a desk top and need something portable, in my case I am off to college and need a laptop that will last. In the last 4 years personally I have been through three computers; 2 laptops both dell and one desktop... Read full review »
Unlike other brands, a Mac Book pro lasts for long time
I'd like to publish a review on my 2003 Mac Book pro because strangely, after 5 years it is working just fine. One would not expect a laptop to function for 5 years, at least I would not.
My six months old Sony Vaio running on Vista (reallllllly sloooooow) is causing me more frustration...

the commercials don't lie: Macs are winners!
I am relatively new to the world of Macs, and generally not the most tech-saavy woman, but it didn't take me long at all to transition from a PC to a MacBook Pro. I love the features that Mac has, and I have Boot Camp software that allows me to run both Windows XP and Mac OSX. My housemate has a... Read full review »
