The Bottom Line:
If you are scared of the transition from Windows to Mac - don't be. If you are thinking of buying a Mac - buy one. You'll love it.
I waited a VERY long time going back and forth on whether or not I was going to buy a Mac. I think my one main concern was if I was going to transition easily from Windows to Mac. I had used a Mac way back in the late nineties - and it was so foreign to me. I was so worried that I would get one, and never use it.
The main reason why I bought this product was because in my line of work, web design, so many people had asked me WHY I didn't have one. I was told by more than one person that I should really consider it because of how all the programs worked so seamlessly together. I could never imagine how incredibly right they were.
The first thing I looked for when purchasing my Mac was the differences between the MacBook and the MacBook Pro. I settled on the MacBook Pro because of the larger screen size and the backlit keyboard. I am glad that I bought the MacBook Pro because of the screen size; however, I don't really notice the backlit keyboard - to be honest.
I was able to move around a Mac pretty quickly after using it for about three days. I wasn't able to be FULLY comfortable for about a week to a week and a half - in about two weeks, I was moving around on my Mac like I had used it my entire life. Now, I never will own another computer BESIDES a Mac.
I think the one thing that Apple could do to ease the transition a little better is make some sort of DVD that you could watch and learn the basics of the Mac. I think that this would be the ONLY thing that Apple could do better - besides the price.
Overall, I give the MacBook Pro an A it is, by far, the best computer I have ever owned and my programs work so well together!
