The Bottom Line:
There is a learning curve to switch from Windows but it's worth it.
I am very pleased with this product. It is definitely hard to switch over from a regular desktop of Dell or Windows and there is a learning curve but worth the trouble. I have called the Apple Store for technical assistance a few times and they were fast and easy to work with. They have stated that I am safer from viruses by using a mac. My last 4 computers have died because of viruses despite my consistent effort to keep them clean. So far, I have had no issues with the learning curve and it has been exciting to search the apps and learn about which ones I can incorporate into my work. I would recommend switching over to a Mac and purchasing the one year free training. You are able to be trained one on one by a professional for one year. For $100 extra you receive as much time needed, to learn how to navigate the system. I believe that is worth it if you are not very computer savvy to begin with or are not a strong independent learner. I am also happy that the hard drive is not huge and takes up the floor space under my desk. The drive is approximately 8 inch x 8 inch. I was also impressed with the rebate program of receiving a printer to go along with my mac mini. I paid an extra $100 but with the rebate it was free. Brand new color printer is a nice addition to the product.
