Apple iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation Green (1 GB) MP3 Player

I bought an Apple iPod shuffle 2nd Generation solely with the intention of using it for exercise (running track and snowboarding). I find it extremely easy to use when doing exercise that involves a lot of bouncing and moving around - the small size of the iPod allows it to clip onto your shirt or jacket, and the simplicity of the iPod allows for smooth changing of songs. What could be a con for some people is the lack of screen which keeps the listener from seeing what song they are listening to - a knowledge of one's music library is necessary! The price of this iPod shuffle (2nd generation) is also great! If it is your main iPod then the low price is a benefit in general. If you are buying this solely for exercise or activities in which the iPod shuffle (2nd generation) is at risk for breaking, then the low price allows for easy and quick replacement (should there be sufficient funds). I find that having a separate iPod for excercise allows me to not worry about a separate MP3 player breaking. The Apple iPod shuffle (2nd generation) is great - great for fitting all the songs on a catchy playlist. The capacity could also be an issue for some people - the Apple iPod shuffle 1GB does not hold very many songs - only 240 songs. Also, the iPod requires iTunes - however, that is a free software.
