Good stuff

Pros Clean look. Stacks, time machine, & previews are very convenient
Cons No button to fully expand a window every time.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Thumbs up all the way. It pretty much justified my switch to Macs.
I made the jump from PC to Mac at the beginning of March and since this purchase was fairly recent, Leopard was pre-loaded onto my Macbook. I wouldn't say I hated Apple, but I always wondered what the fuss was all about. Now, I know.

Although the jump was certainly awkward, it wasn't particularly difficult. The wealth of tutorials from not only their website, but many others was immensely helpful.

I can't really compare it to prior Mac OS' or Vista because I have no experience with either, but I can comment on what I like/dislike about it.

First, this OS is all about eye candy and production. Most controls are intuitive and the eye candy is vast and in most cases warranted or genuinely effective.

Time machine is a very neat and convenient feature allowing you to "go back in time" and recover files. This isn't really new, but it's very cool and functionally sound.

Previewing files without actually opening the related application (i.e. previewing a movie without actually opening quicktime) has been surprisingly more useful than I had anticipated. This is especially useful if you save different versions of similar files and want to open only a specific file.

Stacks is about convenience and productivity. It allows you to streamline the downloading and searching process with a quick and easy place to check your downloads and/or folders you use frequently.

The only knock I have thus far is that although you can expand a window, you can't automatically expand to the maximum, which I like to do when reading lengthy articles or papers. You have to literally drag the window to fully expand.

Overall, Apple has completely won me over with both their hardware and software. My problems have been few and far between.
