Cons

Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
I would have recommended this computer to any new Apple customer because it's easy to use, but has amazing features.
Macs are the best computer, hands down. I know many people don't agree, but I am an all for Apple fan. Their products are amazing. I bought my Macbook last Christmas, and I have been obsessed ever since.
Speed
It's so fast and powerful, and I can't see myself ever going back. The first month that I got it, start up took only 2 seconds, literally. But, the more I used my Macbook, the slower it became. It's still pretty fast, but not the lightening speed it used to be. It feels as though the more memory I use, the slower it's going to get, but that goes for many other computers.
Power & Battery Life
The battery life is great when your computer screen isn't on full brightness. The longest my computer has ever lasted was about 12 hours, but that's pretty good! The battery life depends what applications are running and the screen brightness when it's off the charger. Safari, iTunes, iMovie, and iChat seem to use the most power, and those are the apps I use the most. When I use these apps off the charger, the battery only last about 3 hours or less.
Compatibility
I have no regrets when it comes to this computer. I do wish that more things on Macs were compatible to Windows. I bought iWork, which comes with pages, keynote, and numbers. These are basically generic forms of Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. You can save these files in word form, or powerpoint form, but there still always seems to be a problem when opening these computers on Windows. Something either comes out distorted, or it says that files are missing when they really aren't. It would make life a lot easier, but for now, I stick to printing out these things at home, so I don't have to open them on a Windows computer.
iSight Webcam
It's also so much easier to have iSight built into my computer. Having a webcam on your computer is a nice touch that can always come in handy. Unfortunately, the quality of the camera depends on the Macbook. My friend has a clear camera that has great quality whether there's good lighting or not, while my camera is grainy with a lot of noise if there's not enough light. Even when there is light, it doesn't look nearly as good as hers, which disappoints me.
Specialties & Features
This computer is great for people into the arts, such as music artists, film makers, and graphic artists. It organizes files easily, and they're always easy to find with Spotlight if you ever lose a file. Macbooks are the perfect computer for individuals. There's the mail app where you can recieve your emails instead of having to go to your email website. There's the address book, where you can put all of your important contacts in. There's iTunes, where you can download your music, burn them to discs, and sync your iPod. There's iPhoto, where you can organize your photos, edit them, and easily share them with your family and friends. There are just so many things about the Macbook that I love. They're so worth the price, and it's amazing how they're virus protected. I'm sad to say that they stopped making these Macbooks, but I'm glad I got mine before they were discontinued because they're amazing.
