$999 for a computer. is it worth it? A review on the macbook

Quality, Easy-to-use, Trackpad, Magnetic power cord, it just works straight out of the box
Cons
No games really. most programs for mac are expensive. Speakers aren't to great.

Well I originally started looking at them when I got to high school. The school I go to only uses macs so I wanted to do homework at home. I have now had my Macbook for 1 year and I am very pleased.
Thanks to apple if you are a junior high, high school, or collage student buying a computer in the summer you can get a discount. Apple offered me (and anyone who applies) the white macbook (regularly $999) for $950 and I got a free iPod touch with it (a $200 value).
Most people give out the excuse "it will be too hard to switch to mac". Wrong. It is actually the exact opposite. after the switch I was unable to go back. Macs are so simple that it took me a day to learn.
Now everybody says that the software that comes pre-loaded on mac is so great (iMovie, Garage band, etc.) well in my personal opinion they are wrong. I personally didn't like imovie it just isn't capable of doing anything decent. Garage band is just apples way of trying to get you to buy more of there stuff, it is a pretty lame program without all there attachments. however Safari, and iTunes are great programs.
The quality is great so far I have had no problems. The buttons are solid, The mic works fine, the isight camera works fine. nothing has broken. If you are concerned about your macbook you can buy a 3 year warranty complete coverage. They will replace anything that goes bad or gets broken.
The magic trackpad is amazing the quality is great and it recognizes your fingers perfectly. The power cord has saved my computer so many times that I am like it was worth the $950 just for that power cord.
Now if you are getting a computer for just gaming then you shouldn't even be looking at macbooks thats not what there for.
The speakers aren't the best.
Now a lot of software is going mac. So you will be able to find a way to get what you want on your mac.
