The Bottom Line: Overall, this is a great product. Apple has really done a great job on this product. If you have a Mac, I would get this program.

When I was buying my Mac, I needed to buy one of two things, either iWork of Microsoft Word for Macs. Due to iWork being cheaper at the time I bought it, I decided to go with that, and I made the right choice. The format of Pages is very similar to Word, as with Numbers and Excel, and Keynote and Powerpoint. The great thing about iWork is if you are doing a project, but you need to present on a PC or a device that has Microsoft Office, than you can change the saved file from the iWork version to the Microsoft Office version! I love this program and favor it over Microsoft Office everyday. The only downfall to this is that when I tried Pages, Numbers, and Keynote, (the programs that come with iWork,) was that it took me a while to figure out things that I could do on Microsoft Office on iWork. Otherwise, the basic things you can do on Word, Powerpoint, and Excel are very easy to figure out how to do and the others may take time. If you are looking for a Mac and are deciding between iWork and Microsoft Office Mac version, go with iWork. It will outwork Microsoft Office every time.
