No
The Bottom Line:
It's a great DVD player for the price..If you get one that doesn't break or blow up.
I was real excited about replacing my 2 year old Apex with a spiffy new progressive scan Apex ad-800. I ordered it from Amazon for 99 bucks. I installed it and connected everything and....no color.
I pulled out the instructions and found an obscure reference about setting up s-video. The funny thing is in the troubleshooting section, the only answer to the "The picture is only black and white" was the s-video cable was bad.
I threw in my brand new MIB II dvd and tested out the player. About twenty minutes into the movie the sound system made a screeching sound and the display went dark.
The player now gets a serious disk error at the top of my screen and a no disc error on the DVD's display.
I am in the process of returning it to apex for repair.
Not a good start for a piece of electronics- 20min life span
Anyway it looked good when it worked. Just be aware of quality issues with this player
