The Bottom Line:
If sound and picture quality are important to you when playing your DVDs and music CDs then I don't recommend this DVD player.
The Good:
1) Plays all DVD formats including: Kodak Picture CDs, Picture CDs, Windows Media Audio, and HDCD (for all those enhanced CDs that are not able to play in most DVD players).
2) Has 2 Sets of L/R Analog Audio outputs, which allows you to plug a set into your TV (or VCR) and additional subwoofer speakers.
3) Full Function Remote Control.
4) Digital Audio-Coaxial Input and S-Video Output.
5) AFF Function - Allows you to fill the television screen viewing area when using a widescreen formatted DVD.
6) Advance Playback - 2x to 8X Fast Forward, 2X to 8X Rewind, Frame by Frame, Slow Motion, and Last Play.
7) Automatic Slideshow of Picture CDs.
8) Allows you to zoom into a picture as well as shift the zoom point.
9) Allows you to select form several different angles and languages.
10)You can combine your favorite titles, chapters, or tracks and play them back in any order (You can program up to 99 items).
11)Allows you to display the subtitles included on the disc, on to your TV Screen.
12)On-Screen Display including, current title, track number, and total playing time.
13)Parental Lock feature (only with DVD video discs equipped with the parental lock feature).
14)Customizable Function Settings including, general setup, speaker setup, audio setup, and preferences.
The Bad:
1) Picture fades in and out with most DVDs (Dark and Light)
2) Poor Audio Quality
3) No Progressive Scan (If necessary)
4) No Optical Out (If necessary)
5) Only Basic Buttons on Front Panel (Thinking of if the remote stops working).
